The real question is whether this will help or hurt the C64. There's already a thriving community around the old machine (see http://www.c64.com or http://www.lemon64.com ). I bought an emulator for my PDA for $7 and you can download tons of software from the net. So will Tulip start sending around cease and desist letters? If so, they'll wind up killing the community that they profess to be protecting.
